Christmas brunch at The Cliff House

This is our third annual holiday get-together with Jon, Sue and Jacob, and I think that we have finally found the perfect venue!

The first year we met at Union Square to window shop, enjoy the holiday decorations and festivities, and then have dinner.  Unfortunately, that particular day was FREEZING, you couldn't get close to the windows, and even though there was a Santa convention going on (people in Santa costumes everywhere!), we cut our sight-seeing short, and headed to the restaurant, where it was toasty and warm.

Last year we met in North Beach, had lunch at a restaurant there, and then went to the afternoon performance of Beach Blanket Babylon, which three of us enjoyed tremendously, two of us, not so much!

This year, Sue suggested brunch at the Cliff House.  We had reservations at noon for the Brunch Buffet with bottomless glasses of champagne!  It was perfect!  Amazingly, the rain stopped so we were able to walk from the parking lot without getting soaked, both coming and going!

We had a great table by the window, the food at the buffet was fabulous - dozens of varied dishes, all of them delicious!  It required two or three trips around the buffet to try a little bit of most things.  The desserts were yummy, too!

We had a great time, lots of time to visit and catch up.  They didn't rush us at all - we were able to spend a leisurely two hours, munching and visiting.

So, we have decided that the Cliff House will be our new holiday tradition!  Plus, it afforded a great place to take our annual photographs, too!

Thanks, Jon, Sue and Jacob!!  Have a great time in Las Vegas!!  Merry Christmas
