Our stay at the "Nest Apartments" and having to say good-bye...

Well, in addition to being amazingly beautiful luxury apartments, the Nest apartments came with this amazing view!  As Craig said, even after two days, I was still saying "wow" every time I saw it!

Craig and Stephen had arranged for two apartments, each had three bedrooms with ensuites (bathrooms), complete laundry facilities, gourmet kitchens which were completely outfitted, and living/dining areas with walls of glass.

We used both kitchens - drinks and nibbles in one, dinner in the other!  We had dinner in every night, except for Wednesday, after the Doubtful Sound trip, and of course, Stephen's birthday dinner on Friday.  It was great fun to have breakfast and dinners together, and everyone pitched in to cook and clean up.

We totally enjoyed our time at the Nest, and it was very sad to leave!

Wow!  What a view!

Ok, there are going to be more of these - Lake Wakatipu and the Remarkables

Breakfast on Stephen's birthday

Cheers, Stephen!  Happy birthday!!  And yes, it was 7:30 in the morning

Travel bears!  The bear in the back is Timothy.  He belongs to Tony and Deane and has been to every AGP.  The yellow bear is Tiffany and belongs to Stephen and Craig.  The wee bear is ours.  Marshall was hand made by a good friend of John's, named Marshall.  Marshall very generously gave Marshall to us.  I have many hand-made bears, but only one where I know the artist - Marshall!

Ok, I think that this is wine and nibbles!

Cheers, Tony!

Oh yes - and then there's that pesky washing up!

Happy birthday, Stephen!  A lemon meringue pie!  The last of the birthday celebrations before we left.

Make a wish!  Except that these were trick candles!

The party's over - Marilyn and David, ready to leave for the airport

And here we are, at the airport, the birthday celebration complete!
