Jim's birthday visit...

This was not only a significant birthday for Lee, but also a significant birthday for Jim, who turned 60 on August 14th!  He had a week of vacation from work, so he and Rex came up for a visit.  It was great to see them and to celebrate Jim's birthday with him.

We went for walks, into San Francisco to check out the America's Cup action, and took a walk along the waterfront in South San Francisco and watched the airplanes take off and land at SFO.  It's a very busy airport!

We had Jim's birthday dinner at the Basque Cultural Center in So. San Francisco, one of Jim's favorite restaurants in the area.

The team USA Oracle catamaran racing on the bay - these things just fly across the water!

 

The Oracle Catamaran - they will race the New Zealand team for the America's cup beginning on September 7th.  We'll be certain to see some of the races!
