Bryan and Peter came for a visit! They hadn't been to see us for over 3 years, so we were very excited about having them come to their northern hemisphere home!
Their flight arrived right on time, and we got home to a beautiful, sunny Moss Beach. We had put out the NZ flag for their arrival, and it was flying nicely as we drove up. They were pretty tired, but both of them had managed to sleep for about 6 of the 13 hour flight, so it wasn't as bad as it could have been.
We had a cup of tea, some lunch, and then later in the afternoon went for a walk to help with the jet lag. Of course, they left NZ in the dead of winter, so were happy to arrive to weather that was conducive to shorts and sandals! We feel exactly the same way when we arrive in New Zealand in January, to their summer weather.
Tomorrow we are off to Filoli!
Welcome home, Bryan and Peter!
Weary travelers and the New Zealand flag
We walked down to the beach, and as you can see, the tide was out!
In fact, it was so far out that all of the harbor seals had headed out to sea, and we were able to walk the length of the beach. Our destination was that sandy beach you see in the distance.
Beautiful, sandy beach! With lots of seaweed....
Bryan and Peter, soaking up the sunshine!
