Kelsey's visit

Kelsey came for a visit!  We figured out that she hadn't been down to see us since she was 12!!  That's ridiculous!  So, she graduated from Beauty College, took both her practical and written exams, and came down for a little R & R and to spend some time with us.

We picked her up in San Francisco, then stopped at the Farmer's Market in Pacifica, where we found lots of yummy things to eat during her stay.  We spent time at the beach, even though it was cold and windy, went into San Francisco, watched the sun set into the Pacific ocean, watched a movie every night and just generally hung out.

It was great to spend time with her, and while she was here, Kelsey learned that in addition to passing the written exam she had also passed the practical exam!  Not only did she pass, but she scored 100% in several categories and ended up with an overall score of 93%  Way to go, Kelsey

We also visited Kelsey's Aunt Gail and Uncle Dwayne, her paternal relatives who live in Redwood City.  She hadn't seen them in ages, either, and we had a great afternoon with them, complete with a wonderful bar-b-que dinner.

Before we knew it, it was time to take her back to the airport.  But we have all resolved that her next visit will be much sooner than the last one!

Getting ready to walk across the Golden Gate bridge!  It was sunny, but cool and windy

Kelsey enjoying the view from the bridge - we saw ships sail under and several dolphins
Yep - still windy!
Mission accomplished!  Across the bridge and back!
The cable car at Bay St.  We didn't wait in the ridiculously long line to ride it, but we did grab some pictures!

The "touchy-feelies" at the Aquarium
Ok, at Fisherman's Wharf is a candy shop that sells the giant size of lots of treats!
A lifetime supply of strawberry syrup!
Enjoying the sunshine on the deck
At the beach by our house

Kelsey up a tree!
A good book on the deck - life is good!
The beach at Pacifica - it was warm and sunny there!
Yes, we are easily amused!  I dug up the rocks and we stacked them up!

On a walk around the neighborhood, we found this huge century cactus
Uncle Dwayne's classic car!

Sad - time to go home...
Since Kelsey was here, she's gotten a job at a great salon near her new apartment!  Congratulations, Kelsey, we are SO proud of you!!
