Rotorua and our visit with Chris and Geoff

We spent a lovely weekend with Chris and Geoff in Rotorua!  Peter and John took us to their house and we had a wonderful picnic under the shade of their big tree.  We had a great time visiting, touring around, playing with Millie - their labradoodle, having meals outside and just generally relaxing!

Lunch under the shade tree on the lawn - wonderful!

Geoff belongs to the Rotary club in Rotorua and they sponsor a weekly farmers market.  There was an amazing array of fruits and vegetables there.  Chris bought huge bouquets of basil and made fresh pesto with it!

This Maori lady in her feather dress posed for a picture for us.

Chris and Geoff were preparing to attend the Art Deco weekend in Napier.  She has gathered quite an art deco wardrobe!  Here she is in a dress that she made with her fox fur, "Max".

New Zealand has redwoods!  We took a stroll through the redwoods near Rotorua

Thanks, Chris and Geoff, for a wonderful weekend!  So good to be able to spend time with you.  Thanks for all of the touring, shopping, wonderful meals, G and T's and mostly your friendship!
