Hailey's graduation

Hailey is the fourth of Val's kids to graduate from Mt. Baker High School.  This school has a great tradition that I've never seen anywhere else.  The day before graduation the family members of the graduates are invited to Senior Tea.  This is where the graduates have written notes to their families or significant people in their lives who have helped them get to graduation, and thank them for their help and efforts.  It's always very touching and I think a great way for these kids to stop and think how they got that far.

It's been a great experience for us as we've attended these Teas and heard what these students have to say.  Always very touching.

In the past a photographer has always been at the Tea to take pictures, but not this year.  No worries, we took our own - lots of them!!

 

Graduation!!  And there is Hailey, front and center!

 

After the graduation ceremony all of the graduates had secreted silly string and balloons and let them all fly!  Madi was totally fascinated by this!
